About the Anson County Arts Council
|
The Anson County Arts Council was formed in 1978 by local art enthusiasts. The Arts Council is a nonprofit organization dependent upon funds from foundations, grants, memberships and fundraisers.
We showcase the talents of local and regional artists in the visual and performing arts, including painting, pottery, woodworking, textile art, sculpture, photography, decorative art, folk art, jewelry, music, dance, drama, creative writing, and poetry. The Ansonia Theatre, originally a vaudeville theatre and recently renovated as a performing arts theatre, provides a venue for performances. We also offer classes in various art mediums.
Much of the art displayed in Olde Mill Gallery and the Arts Council gallery is for sale. Please support ACAC and our local artists.
The Anson County Arts Council serves all of Anson County including the towns of Ansonville, Lilesville, McFarlan, Morven, Peachland, Polkton and Wadesboro.
