Jeff Botz, whose photographs are in the style of Ansel Adams, is the first to develop a photographic survey of the worlds tallest mountain and its surrounding region. March 1, 2008, 7:00 pm - Motown and More - Presentation by Curtis McNair, Artist and Graphic Designer, at the Olde Mill Gallery, Lockhart Taylor Center at South Piedmont Community College, 514 N. Washington Street, Wadesboro, NC. Mr. McNair, who designed more than 80 album covers for famed Motown Records, will be reflecting on Motown and More. He has applied his creative skills in many capacities in the arts including: graphic illustrator for Chrysler Corporation; art director and design artist for Motown Recording Corporation; owner of a successful printing business; graphic artist for the City of Detroit, and, most recently, art teacher in the Richmond County School system. May 1, 2008, 7:00 pm - Colonial Background in Voice and Painting - Presentation by Barbara Funderburk, Artist and Author, at the Olde Mill Gallery, Lockhart Taylor Center at South Piedmont Community College, 514 N. Ms. Funderburk, dressed in authentic colonial dress of the ordinary woman, will use her oil paintings to tell wonderful stories that will bring to life this regions cultural history.
