Danny Beachum Bio
Danny Beachum has always been a great admirer of pottery. When he had the opportunity to take classes on pottery throwing, a great talent was discovered and Granny Hollow Pottery was born. Danny was chosen as the featured Local Artist for the Anson Arts & Heritage Festival in 1999. A miniature piece of Danny's pottery hangs on the official North Carolina State Christmas tree representing Anson County.
All of the pieces created by Danny at Granny Hollow Pottery are functional as well as beautiful. All pieces are food-safe and oven or microwave safe.
Pottery classes are offered at Granny Hollow Pottery through South Piedmont Community College. Danny is the instructor. Call the SPCC at (704) 272-7635 for more information.
Some of Danny's work is on display in the Arts Council gallery. You can see more of Danny's work on display and for sale at his pottery & gift shop, Fancy Crafts & Granny Hollow Pottery, at 217 S. Greene Street in Uptown Wadesboro. Phone 704-694-2625.
