Barry Stebbing has been an artist for his entire life. He attended Maryland Institute of Art as a painting major, and received his degree in art education from Salisbury University. Graduate studies were done in Cortona, Italy with the University of Georgia, along with studying portrait painting in Montreal.
Barry spent many years teaching art in the public school system, along with teaching adult education and painting workshops. In 1990-1991, Barry and his wife set out across the back roads of America where he completed a series of oil paintings, three in each state, of some of this country's most splendid scenery.
Barry's studio is near Morven, a few miles south of Wadesboro, NC.
Barry & his wife Saundra have also been conducting 3-day art classes across the U.S. and Canada for many years and expect that they have taught more than 50,000 students the "joy of art" through these classes.
Barry's paintings are on display at the Arts Council gallery, at various local banks and public buildings (such as the Hampton B. Allen Library), and at The Forever Inn Bed & Breakfast.
